WSABE – (Awards, not Japanese mustard)

WSABE – (Awards, not Japanese mustard)

Ever tried touching up your lippie with your fingers firmly crossed? Not a classy outcome. Don’t recommend. Thought I’d pen a quick reflection as we frock up for an awards night this week.

Back in July, I was sent the Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence nominations pack, with a recommendation we take a look. Of course, initially working in the business instead of on the business took priority and it wasn’t until late one night that I found a minute to complete the nomination pack and didn’t think another thing of it.

Imagine our pride when out of 400 entries on the online portal, Factotum Communications were announced as finalists in the Micro Business Category for the 2021-2022 year!

Prestigious company

In attending the WASABE Finalists announcement event at Commbank Stadium, I discovered the calibre of company Factotum is mixing with.

We met a star gazing tour company with an Astrophysicist founder (yep – had to goggle how to spell that).

We met a not-for-profit having great success in the floristry and event waste industry.

We heard from CBA’s chief economist and chatted to those delivering Parra’s light rail.

Stop to smell the Roses

So we are frocking up and stepping out at Rose Hill this week for the Awards Gala Dinner. Its nice to have these punctuation points to stop and practice a little gratitude for how far we have come (and how much fun we are having along the way).

Please keep your fingers firmly crossed for us!
